RUNWAY 6-24 IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM

FUNDING SOURCES FOR ZONE 1 LAND ACQUISITION AND EARLY DESIGN SERVICES

In September of 2006 the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) issued to the Erie Regional Airport Authority (Authority) a notice to proceed with the Early Design and Land Acquisition Services for the Runway 6-24 Improvement Program. C&S Engineers, Inc. is the Consultant responsible for providing the real estate services which are the first steps in the program. Tasks associated with the real estate services to include:

    • Appraisal

    • Appraisal Review

    • Management and Reporting Services

    • Negotiation

    • Relocation Assistance

    • Public Outreach

    • DBE Program Development

Tasks associated with the Early Design Services include:

    • Project Management & Coordination

    • Obstruction Study and Evaluation

    • Geotechnical Investigation & Topographic Survey

    • Golf Course Design

    • Drainage Improvement Design

    • Environmental Compliance Oversight, Mitigation & Permitting

    • NAVAIDS-ILS and TERPS Analysis

    • Environmental Legal Support

 

The FAA will provide 95% of the funding for these project services through the issuance of Airport Improvement Program (AIP) Entitlement and Discretionary dollars. The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation will provide 2.5% of the funding and the Erie Regional Airport Authority will provide 2.5% of the project funding.
