Environmental & Design Questions?
Will the Riviera Estate be adequate as a FDB? Yes.
Are homeowners aware of the Environmental Assessment? Yes, it is a matter of public record.
What Changes will be made to the golf course? Hole realignments - create green space.
Will trees be removed as a result of the program? Yes, impact should be minimal and within FAA regulations.
Can a buffer or shield be put up? Yes - to be considered.
Is there going to be a noise abatement program w/this project? No.
Is Most of the noise going to be at the east end during construction? Yes.
Land Acquisition Questions?
Will Powell Ave. remain open during the acquisition and construction? Yes, there will be no loss of access.
Can the Authority use eminent domain? Yes, but the Authority does not anticipate this happening.
How many acres of property are being acquired? Approximately 30.
Where will businesses relocate? It is at their discrestion.
What will happen with the mobile homes? There will be demolition after the acquisition.
What is the total acquisition? 103 mobile homes, 7 businesses, 32 residents, 3 vacant lots (Including Zones 1, 2, 3)
What is the criteria for acquiring properties? Within impacted area, RPZ, RPA
Why are some properties being acquired and not others/criteria? Properties in the RPA/RPZ are being acquired.
What is the time frame from agreement w/ other owner to actual acquisition? Estimated 1 Year.

Public Outreach?
Will there be future public meetings? As needed, also available is the Information Center
When will the project begin/end? The notice to proceed and public outreach marked the project Zone 1 acquisition is expected to complete by 2008.
Have all people been notified? Yes, All impacted property owners were notified in October 2006.
Can the project schedule be published? Not at this time.
Project Funding Questions?
What are the funding streams for the project? FAA, ERAA, Commonwealth of PA Bureau of Aviation.
What is the project cost? The most recent total cost is estimated at 56 millino.
Is the cost to relocate Powell Ave. in the est. budget? Yes.
How will the commonwealth assist the airport? 2.5 to 5.0% of cost.
How does the airport compete for money? Very competitive state wide/ national proposal process.
Operations Questions?
Will this project effect airlines? Positive impact is expected w/ no operational outages.
Are there going to be operational outages during construction? No.
What will happen with the rail line? No Changes.
Will the golf course close? The plan calls for realignment of 3 holes and temporary closure.
Construction Questions?
What size aircraft will land after the new construction? DC9 is the preferred aircraft, some jumbo cargo jest are possible.
Are all three zones necessary for expansion? Yes, to comply with recommendations of the Master plan.
What upgrades are needed? Safety, ie. ILS, ect.
Will the project include terminal improvements? Yes. Electrical, HVAC.
